Year 9 Physics in Action🌊
The AIS Basel physics teachers took Year 9 students beyond the classroom and into nature with a hands-on physics lesson at the Birsig.
Armed with paper boats and stopwatches, the students put their first physics equation to the test: speed = distance / time.
As their boats floated downstream, our young physicists eagerly measured and calculated, discovering the principles of motion in a real-world setting.
Learning physics by the river—how cool is that?

The new School Year Kicks Off with Creativity, Connection, and Fun
AIS Zurich kicked off the 2024/2025 school year with excitement and energy last week!
During orientation, students had the opportunity to engage in various sessions ranging from creative projects to discussions about academics, extracurricular activities, and more.
The school even had some fun icebreaker games that helped everyone get to know each other!

AIS Zurich Gears Up for a New Year💪
AIS Zurich spent two productive days preparing for the new school year.
The teachers participated in a workshop on neurodiversity, with a particular focus on autism.
They worked closely with the Schweizerisches Institut für Gewaltprävention to explore strategies for building strong classroom teams, setting effective rules, and managing challenging behaviours.
During the session, they also collaborated on curriculum planning, technology integration, and student support strategies.
The team-building activities and thoughtful discussions have set the stage for creating positive and inclusive learning environments.
