Student Council
Description
Students can voice their opinions regarding the school: They can work on initiatives, support charities or suggest improvements. The student council will also engage in leadership development and works closely with teachers and school management in order to work together on the improvement of the school.
Course instructor
Douglas Nupen teaches Geography and History at Academia International School and our Deputy Head of School. In addition to being a teacher, he is involved in many activities and leads a sports group. Mr Nupen has lived, among other places, in South Africa, England and India, which has had a strong influence on him and has also strengthened his interest in world affairs.

At Academia International School, the electives are included in the school fee. To ensure that this remains the case and that the course instructor can put together an attractive programme, the following rules apply:
- At least 6 participants are needed to run a club.
- If the number of participants is limited, places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
- Your registration is binding.
- In case of cancellation at short notice, we reserve the right to charge a contribution towards expense.
