Celebrating a culture of reading at AIS Zurich 📚 📕 📖

Ahead of today’s “International World Book Day” (and Shakespeare's birthday!), AIS Zurich Year 8 marked the end of their 'Reading River' projects.

They created “World Book Day Book Boxes” showcasing their favourite reads or books that have left a lasting impact on them.

These boxes feature intricate details like the Time Turner, The Golden Snitch, and scenes from a thrilling Quidditch match.

They also include the Minotaur’s maze, Cruella de Vil, the Queen of Hearts, the Golden Ticket and much more.

One box even carries the profoundly moving quotation, “We’re so used to disaster that we accept it. We think we deserve it.”

A massive round of applause for AIS Zurich's Year 8 English class!

Celebrating success at AIS Zurich 🎉

The students of AIS Zurich gathered for one last time before the final exam cycle to celebrate recent successes.

The IGCSE-, AS- and A-Level-French classes shared the highlights of their memorable trip to Paris with a delightful video showcasing their visit to the Louvre, Montmartre, the Sacre-Coeur and the Eiffel Tower.

The MUN team presented their experience at MUN Basel Regio to the rest of the student body; they spoke about procedures, summarised the debate and shared their resolution. Thereafter, they also received certificates, recognising their enthusiastic effort and preparation.

All of us at Academia wish our classes well as they settle down to revise and work hard towards their academic goals!

Decoding Business with a Taste of Chocolate🍫

AIS Zurich's Year 2 IGCSE Business class enjoyed studying for their mock exam at the Lindt Home of Chocolate musem.

They engaged in hands-on learning by identifying and critically evaluating business concepts up close….and eating all the chocolate, of course.

Boiling Points Battle: Acetate vs Water 🌡️

AIS Zurich Year 7's are diving into the fascinating world of chemistry with hands-on lab exploration!

They conducted an experiment comparing acetate to water and were amazed by the results.

While 60 ml of acetate started boiling within just 1 minute, it took closer to 5 minutes for 60 ml of water to reach the boiling point.

Why is that?
